Name of Assignment: Junior Projects One-Pager Subject: Junior Seminar Facilitator/Teacher: Ms. Lindsey, Mr. Adam, Mrs. Alexander, & Ms. Wilson
Description of Work/Assignment: For this assignment I had to summarize my plans for my junior project in a colorful and interesting way.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? I feel this assignment best addresses is Civic Literacy & Engagement. I used this assignment to visualize ideas and ways I could make one elementary class a more active part of their community.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? I am most proud of the detailed information and field trip ideas I came up with and used in my one pager assignment and entire junior project.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment? I had to look into problems in my school and community to find something small enough that I as one person could handle it, but big enough to make a difference.
What was most difficult about completing this task? The most difficult part about this assignment was designing the page so it was appealing, colorful, and not overcrowded.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do different? If I could start over I would try to do the design on paper instead of on my iPad. At the time of making the project I was not very familiar with the mediums available on the iPad.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? We have done a lot of art projects throughout my school career and also gone on many field trips at my elementary school that gave me ideas of what I would like to do for my project.
How can you apply this to future learning? I can apply this to my future learning for art related assignments and the planning and brainstorming practice will help me in a variety of ways.
