The Hawaiian heroes project was a large project, expected to take up the entire second semester. My "hero" was Duke Kahanamoku. Duke is best known for popularizing surfing and winning gold medals in 3 Olympics for swimming. For this project, I drew Duke, organized and wrote and essay (shown above), debated why my Hawaiian hero was more important, and started a video on him.
